Local first, and nothing is required. Ritimo works entirely without an account and without a connection. You may create an account to back up your routines and find them again on another device: that is an explicit choice, never a prerequisite. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics — whether you create an account or not.
1. What Ritimo stores on your device
This is stored in a private database inside the app’s container. It stays there unless you turn backup on.

The local identifier is a random number. It is not derived from any characteristic of your device and allows no cross-app tracking.
2. Account and backup — optional
Until you turn backup on, none of your data leaves the device. If you do, an account is created and the data below is copied to our processor.
- routines, versions and steps;
- schedules;
- occurrences that were done, adapted, set aside or postponed — what you actually did, with its date. Merely scheduled occurrences are not backed up: they are recomputed from your schedules;
- products, without their photos, which stay on the device;
- a profile: account identifier, email address and display name if your sign-in method provides one, last sign-in date.
Who hosts it, and where
Backup uses Firebase (Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), provided by Google Ireland Limited as a processor. Data may be processed outside the European Union; such transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Neither Google Analytics for Firebase, nor Crashlytics, nor any analytics or crash-reporting tool is included in Ritimo.
Legal basis
Local processing relies on performing the service you asked for. Online backup relies on your consent, given by turning the feature on, and withdrawable at any time by deleting your account from within the app.
3. Network requests
Ritimo contacts two services, and only in these cases.
- Open Beauty Facts, when you scan a barcode or search for a product by name. Only the search term or the barcode is sent. No account or device identifier accompanies the request. The entry found is copied to your device: correcting it online later will not change your copy.
- Firebase, only if you turned backup on.
Without scanning, without product search and without backup, Ritimo makes no network requests.
Sharing is not one of them
When you share a product or a routine, Ritimo hands a piece of text to the system, which lets you pick the receiving app. Sending is done by that app, not by Ritimo: we do not know who you write to, and we keep no record of it.
That text contains the product name — or the routine name and the titles of its steps. It contains none of your personal notes, none of your stock, none of your dates, not where you store your products, and none of the instructions you wrote in your steps.
4. What Ritimo does not collect
- no identity data you did not enter yourself;
- no advertising identifier, no tracker, no device fingerprint;
- no location data;
- no contacts;
- no usage statistics sent to anyone, including us.
5. Permissions
None is requested at launch. Each is requested when it is needed, and declining never prevents you from using the app.
- Notifications — to tell you a routine is due or a timed step has finished. Declining leaves timers working on screen.
- Camera — to read a product barcode. The image is neither stored nor transmitted; only the code read is used.
- Photos — to illustrate a product entry. The chosen photo is copied into the app’s container and is not uploaded.
- Calendar — requested only if you turn on showing your routines in your calendar. Ritimo then creates a separate calendar and writes only to it; it does not read your other events. Each event carries the routine name and, when there is one, its description — the one you wrote. If your calendar syncs with iCloud or another service, those two pieces travel with it; they then leave the device without passing through us. Turning the display off removes the events.
6. Retention and deletion
Uninstalling Ritimo deletes the local data, with no delay and no copy on our side.
If you turned backup on, uninstalling is not enough: use Settings → Your data → Delete my account and data. That command erases the backup, the account, then the device data. It is immediate and permanent — we keep no backup copy of your side.
7. Access and portability
Settings → Your data → Export my data copies everything Ritimo keeps, as JSON, readable by a person and by a program alike. Nothing to request from us: the export is immediate and goes through no server.
8. Children
Ritimo is not intended for children under 13 and asks them for no data. The “bedtime ritual” template is for an adult organising a family routine, not for the child.
9. Your rights
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. Export and deletion are available directly in the app, without writing to us. For any other request, or to complain, write to us; you may also contact your data protection authority.

Any change to how data is handled will appear on this page before it takes effect, not after.
